Organization of the 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the
Japanese Society of Hypertension

This is to announce that the 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Hypertension, which has been postponed to October 15 (Friday) to 17 (Sunday), 2021, will be held in a hybrid manner, both as a face-to-face meeting and as an online meeting available via live and on-demand streaming, to enable the meeting to be attended by as many people as possible, including those with difficulty traveling to Okinawa.

While the Annual Scientific Meeting may be held solely as a web-based meeting depending on how the Covid-19 situation develops, we will do our utmost to take all possible measures to ensure the safety of participants and success of the meeting. We would highly appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.

Postponement of the 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of

We have been preparing to hold the 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Hypertension in October 2020 in Okinawa. However, with a state of emergency over the COVID-19 pandemic declared nationwide, the whole of Japan is working to prevent it from spreading.

Since it is not clear how the situation will unfold, we have decided to postpone the 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Hypertension for one year, until the autumn of 2021, in Okinawa. The dates, venue and other details about the meeting will be announced later.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused, and would highly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

We praise the medical professionals fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and hope that the crisis will soon become a thing of the past.
