Guidelines

The Scientific Committee invites all interested participants to submit abstracts for the oral or poster presentations.

Please note if an overwhelming number of Oral presentations submissions are received, the Review Committee reserves the right to accept abstracts on alternate presentation types to what has been submitted.

Authors must register and attend the meeting – A presenting author’s registration must be done before the deadline for pre-registration. After the date, the committee will reject the papers of those who have not registered. If you want to make onsite registration, inform the secretariat in case your research will not be included in the book and program.

Notification of Abstract Acceptance: August 15, 2017

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

On-line (Web) Submission Only(http://www.okinawa-congre.co.jp/apts2017/

  • Language: English
  • Title: A concise title with not exceeding 30 words recommended.
  • Format: Objective-Methods-Results-Conclusion.
  • Length of Body: 300 words
  • Authors: Do not include degrees or titles.
  • Contents: Extremely simple result with comment “The result will be discussed soon”
    will not be accepted.
  • Modification: Until the deadline for abstract submission.
  • Withdrawal: Only emailed requests accepted.

Terms and Conditions

In submitting an abstract all presenters agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • I confirm that each author / presenter listed agree with the content of this abstract and has given permission to be listed as an author / presenter.
  • I have checked the accuracy of the information and referencing within this abstract.
  • I understand that should my abstract be accepted for presentation, I am required to complete a congress registration. I understand that my abstract will not be published until my registration and full payment has been received.
  • I hereby provide permission for the Organizers and Committee of the Congress to publish my abstract in the Congress Proceedings, Abstract Book and Congress website.
  • I hereby provide permission for the Organizers and Committee of the Congress to publish the email address for the presenters (as listed in the abstract) in the Congress Proceedings, Abstract Book and Congress website.
  • I understand that my abstract will be published, if accepted, as submitted and that no editing to grammar or spelling will be undertaken by the Organizing Committee.

Presentation Guidelines

In submitting an abstract all presenters agree to the following terms and conditions:

Authors' Registration

  • Authors are asked to make pre-registration for the secretariat to arrange presentation schedule accurately.
  • In case of intending to make on-site registration, informing by email in advance is required.
  • Not registered author’s paper will be withdrawn by the committee after the registration deadline.

Speakers’Preview Room

  • Preview Room Work Hours: During the meeting
  • Checking slide-deck(s) at the speaker’s preview room is the single most important action you will take to ensure your presentation is a success. It is required to check into the place at least 1 hour before presentation start time.
  • Authors should make sure all fonts appear as expected and all sound/video clips are working properly while reviewing presentation slides.

Travel Grant

APTS2017 provides overseas abstract submitters whose abstract has been selected as an outstanding research with travel grant. The application to this grant is automatically made at the time of your abstract submission.

  • Travel Grant: USD 500 for 3 selected abstract submitters
  • The winners’ presentations are held at the topic highlight session on November 2.
  • Travel Grant winners receive the prize at the Banquet on November 2.

Best Presentation Award

The prize recognizes the best presentations at APTS2017.
Each award will be selected based on evaluations of the full papers submitted in advance.

  • Best Presentation Award: A certificate of Best Presentation Award as well as a supplementary prize(Okinawan item).
  • Award categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze
    (2 presentations for each category, 6 presentations in total are selected)
  • The winners’ presentations are held at the topic highlight sessions on November 2 and November 3.
  • On each day, three award winners (one from each category) make presentations.
  • Best Presentation Award winners receive the prize at the Banquet on November 2.
